Off-grid systems operate completely independent of the electricity grid. They combine a solar PV array, deep-cycle Lithium or Lead-Acid batteries (24V or 48V), a standalone inverter, and an auto-starting diesel/petrol generator for emergency backup during extended rain or low solar periods.
